Had a great Thanksgiving dinner at friend's house in Kobe tonight
Went to our friend Doug's house for a huge Thanksgiving feast with several Japanese friends and other expats from all over the world. Doug's house overlooks Kobe below. Just a 45-minute drive to our house in Nara. Hope you all (in the States at least) have a great Thanksgiving holiday.

My daughter ran to me and jumped in my arms at the airport. A very nice welcome indeed. Had a great time in Europe -- we're already planning the next trip -- but there is no place like home.
