Behind the scenes of a keynote presentation at Synergy 09 in Las Vegas
On Tuesday I opened for Synergy '09 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. This video is from the day before during the walk-through and sound checks, etc. At one point you'll hear someone shout my name and the camera shuts off -- that was the Citrix President and CEO Mark Templeton who gave me a big hug. Mark is the coolest high-tech CEO I have ever met (I first met him in Santa Clara two months ago; very cool guy). I'm very bullish on Citrix; they really have an amazing community and are pioneers of sorts. Citrix is the kind of company that would be fantastic to work for.

Immediately after the keynote I went backstage to a waiting stretch limo (hey, it's Vegas - not sure there is another kind) and I was at the airport in 15 min and started a 20-hour journey home that included a limo, 3 airplanes, and a bus back to Osaka. Vegas was great, but it's even greater to be home in Japan. I really appreciated the way the Citrix people treated me. They are very, very professional and super intelligent but also fun and down to earth; really good people.
Also a big thank you to John and Bruce and all the kick-butt multimedia crew on site (and the Duarte staff who were very helpful as always).
