Difference between Japanese and foreign media covering nuke crisis?

Checking news in English on NHK WORLD on the iPhone on the way home. NHK seems measured and focused on reporting facts of the crisis.

Then I flip over to Huffingtonpost. Whoa, what a difference. Yes, I know Huff is not the US equivalent of NHK so it is a bit of an unfair comparison, but if you did nothing but watch tv news via cnn, fox, etc. you would get a very different (and frightening) view of reality concerning the nuclear crisis here. NHK WORLD in English is now on Ustream and reminds me of news programs from my childhood. You know, NEWS, not infotainment or scarefotainment or whatever passes for news these days on cable. The situation is very, very serious obviously, but it is important not to sensationalize. I suggest you get your TV news here (NHK streamed)as well as your local news sources abroad: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/nhk-world-tv

While the Western media may sensationalize the news, they also have reported on some stories of actual people in the devastated tsunami zones that are absolutely heartbreaking. But this is the reality. These heartbreaking stories of individuals are being repeated thousands of times over.
