So that our own creativity may flourish, we must learn to slow down our busy minds. There is some evidence that insights, for example, are best captured when we slow down, clear the noise and *do not* think about the problem at hand. In David Rock's book Your Brain at Work (highly recommended): "Having insights involves hearing subtle signals and allowing loose connections to be made. This requires a quiet mind, with minimal electrical activity." And of course, we get a similar lesson from the great Jedi Master as well:

LUKE: "But how am I to know the good side from the bad?”
YODA: "You will know… when you are calm, at peace, passive.”
